The last 15 months have been momentous for idem living. In October 2023 we had two finalists in The National Children & Young People Awards 2023, with Natalie Pink nominated for Biggest Impact and our Logwood team nominated for Children’s Home Team. We then came into the new year with all of our Children’s homes and our Supported Living service rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and CQC respectively. In Spring, we opened a brand new office in Taunton to manage our expanding services in the South-West. Then in Autumn, we had eight finalists across three different sector award ceremonies, including the Senior Manager award winner at The National Children & Young People Awards 2024! Today, we have over 115 incredible members of staff supporting 23 young people across 11 homes, with more to come.
That’s why we have taken the decision to rebrand. We believe that it’s only fair that we invest to ensure the dedication of our staff is represented fittingly with a professional image. They do exceptional work, and it’s our responsibility to generate the public attention that they deserve.
Whilst we may have a fresh lick of paint, the foundations remain the same. The rebranding project aims to represent and embellish the values that built idem living, providing a platform to propel us even further forward.
Our new logo represents our recognition of the vicious cycles that have trapped so many vulnerable young people through spirals of neglect. It also signifies our commitment to build paths out towards a better tomorrow for young people, by repairing and supporting their aspirations. Our logo is a form of accountability. It serves as a constant reminder of our shared mission, and demonstrates our resolve to never fall short of it.
Quality of care has always been the central focus of idem living. With that in mind, we wanted a new website purposefully designed to maximise transparency. It provides honesty about what it’s like to work here. It provides visibility of the facilities in all of our homes. It provides openness about our standards and latest inspection reports. Crucially, it’s unapologetically direct about the severity of the challenge that lots of young people face.
We’ve come so far. But we’re just getting started.
